When Is It Time to Replace Your AC?
Repair bills keep adding up
When breakdowns become frequent and each repair buys less time, a new system is often the better value. We'll tell you plainly which side of that line your system is on.
The system is near the end of its life
Many Tampa Bay systems are already on their second or third replacement, and older systems lose capacity and efficiency as they age.
Some rooms never get comfortable
Uneven cooling can come from an undersized system, a poorly matched unit, or ductwork problems. A proper assessment looks at all three.
It runs constantly and still feels humid
An undersized system runs nonstop, while an oversized one cools the air too quickly to pull humidity out. Correct sizing matters more in Florida than in drier climates.
How Does an AC Installation Work?
Assessment and written estimate
We look at the existing system, the home, and the ductwork, then give you an upfront written estimate before any work begins.
Right-sizing for your home
The system is sized for your home, not for a county average, which is what keeps comfort and energy bills predictable.
Permit and scheduling
Most full system replacements need a local permit and inspection. As your licensed contractor we pull the permit, so you never have to handle it.
Installation, inspection, and warranty walk-through
We install the system, coordinate the inspection, and walk you through the manufacturer's parts warranty and the installer's labor warranty so there's no confusion later.
What Should You Know Before Replacing?
Ductwork matters as much as the unit
Older homes can have leaky or undersized ducts that make a new system feel like it never caught up. We account for that in the quote instead of assuming a straight swap will work.
The highest SEER2 isn't automatically the best choice
The right efficiency rating depends on your home's size, insulation, and how much you run the system. We walk through the real tradeoff between upfront cost and monthly savings.
Coastal and flood-zone homes have extra considerations
Salt air can justify a protective coil coating, and in flood zones local rules may require the condenser to sit at or above the property's flood elevation. We confirm the requirement for your address.
